Dear Pine Grove Crossing Community,
We are writing to provide an update to all of you regarding the testing that has been conducted at the community this week as a result of the positive COVID-19 associate and family member who visited that we reported to you on July 27th. All residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care were tested and through contact tracing, all associates who interacted with the positive associate and/or the positive family member who visited were also tested.
Yesterday on July 28th, we received 30 test results and they were all negative. Today, we received 90 test results and they were also all negative with the exception of one positive associate who was tested outside of the contact tracing exercise.
The positive associate had an exposure outside of the community which warranted a COVID-19 test. This associate is not in a role that involves resident contact and has minimal associate contact. Based on contact tracing, there will be a minimal amount of additional testing required. This associate is resting comfortably at home.
As we reported to you in our letter on July 27th, we plan to do a second round of testing next week on the same group that was tested this week.
We continue to be in close communication with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Tri-County Health Department and will follow their direction and protocols, as well as those of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Governor’s office and our Medical Consultant, Dr. Gagandeep Singh.
We appreciate your patience and support as we carefully work through this situation. We do not currently have any other COVID-19 symptomatic residents or associates as of the time of this letter. We will continue to provide updates to you as soon as we have additional results to share. It is imperative that any family members/loved ones who may be experiencing symptoms refrain from visiting. Additionally, we ask that if you experience any symptoms and have recently participated in an outdoor visit, that you notify the community immediately.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to Pine Grove Crossing’s Executive Director, Rita Waxon.
Sincerely,
Tom & Susie Finley – Founder and Principal
